General connections to hearing instruments
The Amigo receiver is compatible with virtually any BTE from any manufacturer. Just use the FM adaptor for that specific instrument, and find out whether any modifications need be performed.

DAI Detect
Many modern hearing instruments have a 'DAI detect' function that detects FM when the receiver is attached to the hearing instrument. In many cases the receiver is operated either by toggling the program button to the dedicated FM program (if not done automatically) or by switching to the FM program on the control switch.
This 3-position switch should be set to HA+FM and and locked in this position. When connecting Amigo receivers, the Euroconnector must be oriented such that the LED is visible from the front or from the back. This will also ensure optimal orientation of the built-in antennas.
